Actively cultivate children's "sleep quotient"? What is "sleep quotient" and what impact does it have on children? Society is progressing, and the requirements for people are getting higher and higher. With the continuous popularity of emotional quotient, IQ, and financial quotient, "sleep quotient" has gradually become the research object of researchers. It sounds like a funny name, but in fact, it can determine a child's future happiness index. At present, sleep surveys in major cities have found that the sleep index of urban people is getting worse and worse. Various diseases derived from this are also endless. Researchers used a class of students as the research subjects, and found that many people who have maintained a good attitude and felt good about life throughout their adulthood all have good sleep quality. Moreover, one thing that is certain is that half of people with high emotional intelligence have the ability to sleep whenever they want. Why is this happening? Of course it has a lot to do with the refreshing mental state after sleep. Because their brains are fully rested, their skin glows, their thinking is quick, and their ability to adapt to things is naturally positive and enthusiastic. So, if you are still keeping the habit of letting your children stay up late to study, you might as well change it. In addition, there are some misunderstandings about sleep. 1. In order to maintain the child's mental attitude when doing homework, turn on the music. This approach is wrong. Neuroscientists have pointed out that any method of eliminating sleepiness by playing music, chewing gum, etc. is meaningless. So once sleepiness strikes, it's better to find a place to sleep for a while, even just a few minutes can relieve it. 2. Sleep can be made up during the day. There are too many parents with this kind of mentality. But in fact, this idea is wrong. As children grow, they secrete a substance called growth hormone, which can only be effectively released during deep sleep at night. Therefore, no matter how much a child sleeps during the day, the energy that is beneficial to the child's growth cannot be compared with that of a child who sleeps at night. In addition, once a person's sleep pattern is disrupted, it will cause endocrine disorders and lay a good foundation for the development of various chronic diseases. 3. The child sleeps because of boredom. Many mothers said angrily: My child is just lazy and can't sleep all day long. If I ask him to take him out to play, he will get up earlier than anyone else. In fact, this kind of thought should never be entertained. If a child gets up early to go out and play, it only means that his brain is always excited. Never say that the child usually stays in bed because the child is lazy. Sleep is an active behavior that cannot be controlled by humans. Once a child feels sleepy, it can only mean that his body is sending a signal of sleepiness, or that the child is sleep deprived and needs to supplement. The idea that boredom makes people sleepy simply does not exist.
